Where Giants Walk
I recently spent a week paddling and hiking through the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia and Congaree National Park in South Carolina. In the Okefenokee I paddled a kayak up a narrow stream, feeling as if I was paddling through a cathedral...a very spiritual experience.
In Congaree, I had the sense that I was walking among the feet of some giant, prehistoric creatures.
